Generating images in ChatGPT vs Claude
ChatGPT is a much better tool than Claude for generating images (for now). I want to show you with an example from Miho, a You & AI participant. When I saw the difference, I actually laughed out loud.
I love that Miho’s use case here is about creating a real thing in the real world for a real person—in this case, herself. She’s using an online tool, but she is the one directing its attention, not the other way around. (This is also the guiding principle of our tech policy at the school I’m founding.)
Here is the prompt she gave each of the LLMs (sans the reference images):
Here is what ChatGPT produced—exactly what she was looking for!
And here is what Claude produced—a good laugh!
This is not to slag on Claude—it is better than ChatGPT at other things. Including reading your calendar. And like everything AI, this is only the difference today, not the forever difference in these tools.
